BS. Nursing 4 Years (GENERIC)

The opportunities in nurse careers are endless. After several years of experience, the nurse is eligible to pursue a specialization of choice. This can often mean more opportunities in the nursing profession, including leadership, education or management.


Objectives

The objectives of the degree of BS Nursing are as under, in accordance with PNC and HEC’s policy students are expected to:

  • • Prepare competently, committed, knowledgeable nurses for hospital and community settings.
  • • Produce nurses who will integrate evidence-based study into clinical practice for the care of individuals, families and communities.
  • • Enable nurses to meet future challenges, including changes in technology.
  • • Educate nurses with appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes with clinical competency.
  • • Develop nurses who can provide preventive, curative and rehabilitative health care to populations in rural and urban settings.
  • • To initiate a leadership role in the planning, implementing, evaluation of individual, family and community.



Eligibility Criteria

  • FSc Pre-Medical with minimum 50% marks or its equivalent

Duration

  • It is a four-years duration program spread over 8 semesters.

Study Scheme


Assessment

  • The students’ study progress evaluation mechanism is based on continuous assessment throughout the semester by giving assignments, quizzes, mid-term, and final term examinations.

Project/Thesis

  • Students are required to complete a Project / Thesis in the last Semester.

Award Of Degree

  • To become eligible for the award of degree, the student is required to obtain a minimum CGPA  of 2.0 out of 4.
